Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you provide during sign-up (e.g., company name, role).

Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe may collect your card number, expiration date, billing address, and CVC. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you use our Services, including pages visited, features used, search queries, clicks, scroll depth, time on page, and interaction patterns.

Device and browser information: We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and referring URL.

Cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and collect usage data. See Section 7 for details.

Communications: If you contact us via email, contact forms, or other channels, we collect the content of your messages and any information you provide.

Marketing attribution: We collect UTM parameters, referral sources, Google Ads click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid), and other campaign tracking data to understand how you found our Services.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide and operate the Services — including account creation, authentication, subscription management, and customer support
• Process payments — to charge subscription fees and manage billing through Stripe
• Send transactional communications — including welcome emails, trial expiration notices, billing confirmations, password resets, and service updates
• Send marketing communications — including product updates, newsletters, tips, and promotional offers (you may opt out at any time; see Section 5)
• Analyze and improve our Services — using analytics tools to understand usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the user experience
• Measure advertising effectiveness — to understand which marketing channels and campaigns drive sign-ups, conversions, and engagement
• Prevent fraud and abuse — to detect and prevent unauthorized access, scraping, spam, and other misuse of the platform
• Comply with legal obligations — to respond to lawful requests from government authorities and to enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following categories of third parties:

• Payment processors: Stripe, Inc. processes subscription payments on our behalf
• Analytics providers: We use Mixpanel and Google Analytics to analyze usage of our Services
• Advertising platforms: We share conversion data with Google Ads to measure and optimize advertising campaigns
• Email and communication tools: We use Customer.io and similar services to send transactional and marketing emails
• Hosting and infrastructure: Our Services are hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud) and Vercel
• Legal and compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others

TurboFund aggregates publicly available information about investors and venture capital firms from sources including SEC filings, Crunchbase, LinkedIn, fund websites, press releases, and other public records. This data is compiled to help founders research and identify potential investors.

If you are an investor whose information appears on TurboFund, you may request to update or remove your profile by creating a free account and submitting a request, or by emailing support@turbofund.io. We will process all removal and correction requests within 48 hours.

The investor data displayed on TurboFund is sourced exclusively from publicly available records. We do not obtain investor data from private or confidential sources.

Marketing emails: By creating an account or submitting your email through any form on our website, you consent to receive marketing communications from TurboFund, including product updates, newsletters, and promotional offers. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by contacting us at support@turbofund.io.

Transactional emails: Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we will continue to send transactional communications necessary for the operation of your account (e.g., billing receipts, trial expiration notices, security alerts, service changes). These cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Third-party marketing: We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We honor opt-out requests promptly and will remove you from marketing lists within 10 business days of your request, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you cancel your subscription or delete your account, we will retain your data for up to 90 days to facilitate account recovery, after which it will be deleted or anonymized.

We may retain certain information for longer periods as required by law (e.g., billing records for tax compliance) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, resolving disputes).

Aggregated and anonymized data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement purposes.

We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:

• Essential cookies: Required for the Services to function (e.g., authentication, session management). These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Used by Mixpanel and Google Analytics to collect usage data and help us understand how visitors interact with our Services.
• Advertising cookies: Used by Google Ads to track conversions, measure ad effectiveness, and enable cross-domain tracking between turbofund.io and app.turbofund.io.
• Preference cookies: Used to remember your settings and preferences across sessions.

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure hosting infrastructure, and access controls.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
• Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
• Data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Do Not Sell: We do not sell personal information. If you are a California resident, you have the right to confirm this under the CCPA.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.

TurboFund is operated from the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process personal data on the basis of consent, contractual necessity, and legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at support@turbofund.io.

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at support@turbofund.io.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. For active subscribers, we will also send email notice of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
